The network design included routers and Ethernet switches from Juniper Networks, industrial grade Ethernet switches from MOXA, the use of single-mode fiber, multimode fiber, and air-blown-fiber as well as 90Mbps and 1Gbps point-to-point RF links and a Wi-Fi access network. The specification of interworking requirements between PWGSC Security Network and House of Commons IP Network that uses edge switches from Nortel Networks. The core of the network is fully redundant operating in Active/Active mode to provide resiliency and high availability. The PWGSC Security Network was designed and configured to provide QoS for video, building access control, intercom voice service, monitoring of sensors and alarms, network management, control and data base updates. Major tasks and duties that were performed include: a) Prepared the overall project plan, schedule and equipment specification b)  Empowered as overall technical authority c)  Managed the work performed by sub-contractors, engineers, technicians and network equipment installers d) Provided specification to engineers and technicians during design and build-out of the network e)  Managed interaction with customer f)   Performed high level as well as detail design for routing, switching, resiliency and QoS g)  Performed configuration of all Network switches, components, etc. h)  Performed network testing and troubleshooting  i)    Documented high level design, detail design, and as-built network. PWGSC Physical Security Services Needs Analysis: 3inova Networks conducted the Needs Analysis and Requirements Definition for Public Works and Government Services Canada - Physical Security Services. The study included the analysis of security service currently performed, current IP network infrastructure in used, and taking into consideration current and future business needs. Our report included ten recommendations for the evolution of the PWGSC Security Network and Security Services that are being delivered.
